First Year Learning Communities

A First Year Experience (FYE) Learning Community is a group of 20 students who are enrolled in three pre-determined college courses. Participants will work together during their first semester at SPCC to achieve academic success and have fun!

In addition to taking classes together, a learning community provides members with an embedded tutor and pre-scheduled times to study, work on class assignments, or plan group projects. Through frequent interactions, you will build social and academic connections.

College students must be taking classes for the FIRST time in Fall 2015 and have placed into ENG 111 to be eligible.
