Developmental Studies

Developmental education programs serve all students at South Piedmont Community College who have been assessed as needing to develop their skills in order to be successful in a college career. Developmental Studies courses include English, reading and math. Students are placed in the appropriate class based on their scores on the college placement test (CPT). These courses are unique in that they allow for differing levels of preparation and readiness by students.

SPCC is committed to promoting academic skill development, educational achievement, and student success through the Developmental Studies program.
