Infant and Toddler Care Certificate

With a certificate in infant toddler care, you will be prepared to care for children from birth to age three. Job responsibilities can include planning and providing care.

The curriculum combines instruction with practicums under the supervision of qualified teachers. Students will learn theories about infant and toddler growth and development.

Coursework on infants and toddlers includes physical/nutritional needs; safety issues; and care. Instructors will also help students practice communications skills for interacting with parents and children.

Graduates will be equipped to seek employment at child development and child care programs; preschools; public and private schools; recreational centers; Head Start programs; and infant/toddler programs.
