EMT-Basic Certification

The EMT Basic provides pre-hospital emergency medical care and is a vital part of the health care team. Students who successfully complete the course will be qualified to take the state or national certification test for Emergency Medical Technician Basic. Instructional time includes: ride-along hours, class work and hands-on lab skills necessary to provide emergency services agency or other specialized ambulance service. Successful students are prepared for immediate employment in emergency services and may choose to go to complete the Paramedic certification.

Anson County Mandatory Orientiation: January 7, 2015 @ 7pm

At this time students will have questions answered, pre-requisites discussed, take TABE test (score 10th grade or higher) and can register. NO MONEY will be taken during this time.

Pre-requisite for EMT Basic
: 10th grade+ on TABE, High School Diploma or GED, Childhood Shot Records, Minor Release Form (if student is between the ages of 16 & 18 the college MUST have a Minor Release form that has been signed by his/her Principal).
If you are currently affiliated with a Fire, Police, or Medic Agency, then you will need to provide a Letter of affiliation signed by the Chief, or Director of agency.

Class will meet Tuesday & Thursday nights, 6:00pm - 10:00pm and one Saturday each month, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The following will be paid at the Business Office AFTER the student is registered:
Registration Fee: $180
Lab Fee: $71.65
Student Fees: - $3.20
Insurance: $13.00
