Longevity Pay
Longevity pay is designed for employees who provide long-term service to the State of North Carolina. The longer you are with state government, the higher the percentage of longevity pay you will receive for your commitment. After completing 10 years of total state service, you begin receiving longevity pay. Eligible full-time employees receive longevity pay in an amount computed by multiplying the employee’s annual base salary rate as of the eligibility date by the appropriate percentage, rounded to the nearest dollar, in accordance with the following table:

Years of Aggregate State Service Longevity Pay Rate
10 but less than 15 years 1.50%
15 but less than 20 years 2.25%
20 but less than 25 years 3.25%
25 or more years 4.50%

Once you become eligible, you will get your total longevity payment each year during the same pay period unless it is delayed by leave without pay. Payment is made in a lump sum, subject to all statutory deductions, during the monthly pay period in which the employee has satisfied all eligibility requirements.

State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC)
SEANC is the South’s leading state employees’ association. They work to gain respect in the legislature for hardworking state employees and retirees. Discounts are available to members on various show tickets, lodging, and memberships. SEANC membership is $9.00/month and can be paid through payroll deduction.

Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center*
Employees are eligible for 50% off the joining fee and 10% off the monthly membership fee at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center.

Enterprise Fitness*
South Piedmont employees are eligible for membership at Enterprise Fitness in Monroe at $29.99 per month with no enrollment fee. College ID is required to receive the discount.

Verizon Wireless*
State employees are eligible for a 20% discount on monthly services and a 25% discount on accessories through Verizon Wireless. For the discount to apply, use the state employee code 945123 and present a recent paystub or ID badge.

AT&T*
State employees are eligible for a 15% discount on monthly services through AT&T. Contact AT&T regarding proof needed to apply.

Sprint*
State employees are eligible for 23% off select regularly-priced monthly services through Sprint. A 2-year agreement may be required. Contact Sprint regarding proof needed to apply.

Identity Theft Protection

LegalShield
