  • SPCC offering Entrepreneurship for Small Business classes

    South Piedmont Community College’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center will offer “Entrepreneurship for Small Business” classes in the coming month. There are three multi-week sessions from which to choose. 



  • SPCC to offer three-week Pathways to College course

    South Piedmont Community College will offer a three-week Pathways to College class for those interested in preparing for entrance into a college credit program and new career pathway.  



  • Massage Therapy program to start new class on Aug. 1

    South Piedmont Community College’s Massage Therapy program will start a new class on Aug. 1 on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe. With convenient and day and evening classes, the 500-plus hour program can be completed in as little as 24 weeks. 



  • Reappointed trustees, SGA president sworn in

    Four reappointed South Piedmont Community College trustees and the school’s Student Government Association president were sworn in during the SPCC Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday, June 12, on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe 



  • Deadline extended for Medical Assisting, Medical Lab Assisting registration

    South Piedmont Community College has extended the registration deadline for its Medical Assisting diploma and Medical Laboratory Assisting certificate programs, with classes beginning Aug. 15. 



  • SPCC selected for humanities project

    South Piedmont Community College has been selected to participate in the Community College Humanities Association’s “Advancing Humanities: A National Endowment for the Humanities Bridging Cultures Project." SPCC was one of 18 community colleges, and the only one from North Carolina, selected from among 70 applications from 30 states. 



  • Minority male mentoring program to become more inclusive, proactive

    South Piedmont Community College’s minority male mentoring program is undergoing some changes – and it will no longer be just for minorities or males. 



  • Massage Therapy clinic hours extended for fund-raiser

    South Piedmont Community College’s Massage Therapy students will extend the hours of their clinics for two weeks in June and two weeks in July to raise funds for the students’ state board and licensing fees.

  • SPCC releases spring 2012 honors lists

    South Piedmont Community College Vice President of Student Success Elaine Clodfelter has released the names of students who have been included on the President’s List and Dean’s List for the Spring Semester 2012.
