  • Registration Information

    New Students: Early Registration for new students will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015 through Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Registration will be held in the Academic Advising Centers at both the L.L. Polk and OCH campuses as well as in the Student Services areas. Registration assistance will be available in the Academic Advising Centers and Student Services areas every day the college is open beginning on Monday, April 20, 2015 during hours of operation. 

  • Applications being accepted for health programs - Medical Sonography deadline extended until March 6 at 3 p.m.

    Application deadlines are quickly approaching for entry in the summer, and fall 2015 semesters for the following programs: Medical Assisting, Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Sonography, Practical Nursing, Therapeutic Massage.  

  • SPCC releases spring and summer 2014 honors lists

    South Piedmont Community College Vice President of Student Success Elaine Clodfelter has released the names of students who have been included on the President’s List and Dean’s List for the spring and summer semester 2014.

    Beginning with those who start at SPCC in the Fall 2014 semester, students enrolled in curriculum degree programs will have the opportunity to showcase their learning in a web-based General Education ePortfolio. 

  • New Agreement to Smooth Transition from South Piedmont Community College to UNC System

    The State Board of Community Colleges and the University of North Carolina Board of Governors signed a revised Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA), making college transfer options for South Piedmont Community College students and students of other N.C. community colleges more defined and easier to follow. 

  • South Piedmont Night at Café Bliss

    On Tuesday, April 29, visitors had a complimentary light dinner out at Café Bliss in Waxhaw and met college faculty and enrollment staff. They found out about FREE college classes for high school students, scholarships and exciting programs of study that lead to an associate degree. Click the title to see photos of the event. 

  • Emergency Medical Students Complete Their Training

    South Piedmont congratulates recent graduates now trained for emergency medical professions. 

  • Burnsville Rec and Learning Center Receives College Computers

    In January, South Piedmont delivered more than a dozen gently used computers to an appreciative Burnsville Recreation and Learning Center in Polkton. The non-profit advocated for strong rural family relationships. Its staff and volunteers provide computer classes and an after-school care. The Center also runs a food pantry and a thrift store.
