SPCC Hosts Camp Health Tech

SPCC HOSTS CAMP HEALTH TECH
South Piedmont Community College recognized participants in Camp Health Tech 2007 with a pinning ceremony and reception June 22 on its Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe.
Camp Health Tech 2007 was a week-long day camp that gave high school students interested in medical careers the opportunity to explore career options. Students participated in an array of medical science workshops, toured healthcare facilities in Anson and Union counties, toured the Body Worlds Exhibit, and talked with healthcare professionals.
Camp Health Tech participants were Lindsey Black of Ansonville, Claire Dayton of Lilesville, Joanna Hathcock of Wadesboro, Tiffany Henry of Morven, Alisha Privette of Wadesboro, Brittany Baker of Wadesboro, Ashley Cummings of Indian Trail, Megan Rorie of Monroe, Jerrica Baucom of Monroe, Sarah Pressley of Monroe, Angeleigh Hooks of Wingate, Amanda Harrell of Waxhaw, Christy Sizemore of Monroe, Erika Timmons of Wadesboro and Kourtnie Webb of Ansonville.
Camp Health Tech was co-sponsored by the Charlotte Area Health Education Center.
