• SPCC increases prize money for Battle of the Bands

• WIA funding approved for students in Auto Body Repair, I-CAR

• $75,000 grant to create Anson-Union Workforce Mobilization Project

  “ SPCC has received a $75,000 grant from the North Carolina Rural Center to create an Anson-Union Workforce Mobilization Project that will, among other things, have paid internships with local manufacturers, provide gas cards for some who travel long distances to take classes and provide tuition vouchers for qualified students. ”

• One week left to register for spring classes

  “ There is one week left to register for college-credit classes at South Piedmont Community College before classes resume Jan. 9. The college reopens Jan. 3 after its Christmas break. Registration will be conducted on both the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe and the L.L. Polk Campus in Polkton from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 3, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 4-5 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 6. ”
