The College Transfer Club provides opportunities for interested students to visit college campuses across North Carolina. We also provide advice and guidance in the college selection process.

Open House Schedule

Many colleges and universities schedule open houses, usually on Saturdays. You can register as an individual, or go with a group. This is a great way to “get to know” a campus. You have an opportunity to tour the campus, and talk with faculty, current students, and financial aid counselors.

Proposed College Transfer Trips

The college transfer club sponsors trips to nearby colleges and universities, based on student interest. In the past we’ve visited Wingate University, Appalachian State, UNCC, Brevard College, Lees-McRae College, UNC-Pembroke and Pfeiffer University. Any currently enrolled SPCC student can attend. Please contact Marie Burleson mburleson@spcc.edu for further details.

This list is subject to change based on student interest.

  • A status of "proposed" means that the trip has been suggested.
  • "Pending" means that enough students have expressed interest and details are being worked out.
  • "Scheduled" means that the trip is on the school calendar. Students have made a firm commiment to attending.

The college transfer club meets every Monday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Building B, Room 147 at the Old Charlotte Highway Campus.
