Student Government Association

The South Piedmont Community College Student Government Association exists to represent and promote student matters that affect student life. The SGA Senate approves, sanctions and supervises the activities of all local clubs and organizations in order to enhance the educational, personal, social and cultural growth of students at South Piedmont Community College. The Student Government Association Constitution directs the operations of the group.

The SGA Senate consists of six Executive Board members and two delegates from each of our academic programs. All currently enrolled students who pay a student activity fee are members of the association and are encouraged to attend Senate meetings. The Student Government Association Senate is the governing body for the SGA and meets on a monthly basis.

Active participation in the SGA provides students with a excellent opportunity to practice leadership skills and exercise the knowledge that is learned in the classroom. Involvement is a great way to make friends and gain valuable experience that will assist in achieving personal and professional goal.
