Thank you for your interest in South Piedmont Community College's programs!

Below is an overview of the program areas.

Adult Basic Skills - The Adult Basic Skills program provides educational opportunities for adults to improve their reading, writing, mathematics and communications skills through five major program components - Adult Basic Education, General Educational Development, Adult High School, English for Speakers of Other Languages, and Compensatory Education.

College Credit Programs - College credit programs lead to a certificate, a diploma, or an associate degree. SPCC offers programs of study in a wide range of college transfer and career areas.

Continuing Education Programs -  SPCC, through its Corporate and Continuing Education Division, offers to any adult, regardless of educational background, an opportunity to continue the lifelong learning process through a wide variety of programs. Some courses are offered on a continuing basis. Others may begin as a result of requests from groups or individuals. A variety of courses including computer, Internet, personal enrichment, writing, entrepreneur/business, and medical/healthcare are available. Teachers, health professionals, and others may earn required credits for license renewal.

Fast Forward Short Term Training - These programs are great options for job seekers looking for a short turnaround time between the start of training and employment.

Gainful Employment - Federal regulations published in October 2010 required institutions to report certain information about students who enrolled in Title IV eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized field. While all of our programs at SPCC are designed to lead to either employment or college transfer, the Department of Education requires that we provide disclosure information on specific programs.
