SPCC begins compensatory education class in Anson County
WADESBORO ? South Piedmont Community College has added a compensatory education class in Anson County to serve adults with developmental disabilities.
The class meets from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Room 209 at the Lockhart-Taylor Center, 514 N. Washington St. The instructor is April Watkins.
The class curriculum will focus on the interests of students while broadening their knowledge of the community, state, nation and world. The college hopes to reach residents of Anson County who otherwise do not have an outlet for growth and socialization because of a lack of programs that address the needs of adults who have been diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
For information about the class, contact Scott Rivers at 704-272-5468 or srivers@spcc.edu.
