Travel to Italy and Greece with SPCC
South Piedmont Community College?s Domestic and International Travel Program will take a group to Italy and Greece next spring. Scheduled for May 16-24, the trip will make stops in Rome, Sorrento, Pompeii and Bari in Italy, and Patras, Tolo and Athens in Greece.
Travelers will visit Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter?s Basilica, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Olympia, the Parthenon, the Acropolis, the Temple of Athena, Hadrian?s Arch and much more.
The tour will be led by Cultural Studies Instructor Lori Hupp and Art Instructor Dustin Robertson.
Travelers must be at least 18 years old, but need not be affiliated with SPCC.
Cost for the trip is $2,906 for those 18 to 22, or $3,281 for those 23 or older. The variation in price is because those 23 and older are automatically booked in double-occupancy rooms, while those younger are placed in triple- and quadruple-occupancy rooms. There are options to upgrade to a double or single room for an additional fee, or to pay less and stay in a triple- or quadruple-occupancy room. Prices are good through Nov. 30 and are based on a minimum group size of 15.
The cost includes round-trip air fare, accommodations, breakfast and dinner, guided sightseeing tours and city walks, visits to select attractions on the itinerary, cruise fare to Greece and the services of a full-time professional tour director. An itinerary can be viewed here.
To register for the trip, follow the instructions here. Registration deadline is March 14, but deadline to lock in the current prices is Nov. 30.
