Professional Tutor
Part-Time
The South Piedmont Community College Academic Support Center is seeking applicants to serve as professional tutors (job description). This is a part-time, semester-long (16 week) position.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in the area of tutoring or a closely related field; grade of B or higher in all courses(s) and/or academic subject areas for which tutoring services will be offered; cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher in all post-secondary course work.
Tutors are needed with expertise in the following subject areas: math, reading, English/writing, information technology, business and accounting, psychology/sociology/behavioral sciences, and natural sciences. Multiple positions are available, and are open until filled. Applicants must submit a completed SPCC employment application, along with unofficial copies of transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
