SPCC is seeking applications for Director of Grants for the Academic Affairs department. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Old Charlotte Hwy Campus in Monroe, NC. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree; Five or more years of experience in grants development; Evidence of a track record of successful grant solicitations; Evidence of the ability to handle diverse types of work assignments; Demonstrated proof of professional writing experience and impeccable communication skills (oral and written); Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, drafting, and editing written documents; Demonstrated skills in scheduling, prioritizing, and finalizing activities to meet deadlines; A professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to keep confidences; Proven ability to deal effectively, cooperatively, confidentially, and tactfully with faculty, staff, administrators, and funding sources and; Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications..

Each applicant needs to submit a history of awarded grants, must include the name of the grant, funder, year, amount awarded, and a brief description of the grant. Applicants should only include grants that they personally wrote or co-wrote. Also submit a writing sample from a recent grant. The writing sample should include the abstract, narrative, and budget.

Position is open until filled, with a preferred start date of September 15, 2014
