Use of Facilities

South Piedmont Community College has a number of facilities available for community use, including the Conference Center on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe and the Charles N. and Mary Alice Caudle Ingram Community Room at the Lockhart-Taylor Center in Wadesboro. Both rooms can accommodate up to 300 for events involving meals and approximately 600 for events set up auditorium style.

The college policy: Organizations and individuals in the community may reserve space in college facilities for meetings, workshops, and similar uses. Events must be educational in nature and/or must support the mission of SPCC. The college reserves the right to refuse use of facilities for events judged not to support the mission of the institution. All space requests should be filed at least two weeks prior to the planned event. All requests will be considered on a space-available basis.

Rental fees vary by facility.

L. L. Polk Campus

• Linn D. Garibaldi Teaching Auditorium (accommodates 130 people)
• Sharon T. and E. Lynn Raye Boardroom in the Cyber Center adjoining the Horne Library (accommodates approximately 125 people for receptions)
• John Stuart Moore Memorial Chapel (accommodates approximately 40)
• Garibaldi Building conference room (accommodates approximately 20)
• Helen Goodman Amphitheater

• Charles M. and Allie George Creech Boardroom (accommodates approximately 25 people in a conference-style arrangement)
• Conference Center (accommodates approximately 400 for meals; 600 in an auditorium-style arrangement

• Coffing Hoists Room (accommodates approximately 20 arranged classroom-style; 35 arranged auditorium style)
