Information about usernames and passwords
Usernames will be assigned from the first letter of your first name, the first three letters of your last name and the last four digits of your student ID. You will be assigned a temporary password which will be the word "Temp" followed by your two-digit birth month, your two-digit birthday followed by the plus sign. The "T" in the word Temp must be capitalized.
Example:
Username: tjac1234
Temporary password: Temp0612+
On the next screen, your old password will be the temporary password. Your new and confirm password will be the password you choose. This new/confirm password has to have a lower case letter, an upper case letter, a special or numeric character, and must be at least 8 characters long. It cannot contain part of your name. It cannot contain any words or symbols with special meaning to the computer, for example, delete, rename, ?, :, etc.

Tips for online registration:
IMPORTANT: Before You Register Online…
- All students should speak with an advisor before registering online to make sure they are taking the courses they need for their program.
- Students who have not consulted with an advisor are taking a risk of possibly taking unneeded courses or taking courses out of sequence.
- Not sure who your advisor is? Follow the directions below through go.spcc.edu
- Select “Academic Profile” under the WebAdvisor tab on the homepage of go.spcc.edu.
- Select “My Profile”
- Scroll to the bottom and locate “Advisor Name” and contact information.
Search and Register for Available Courses:
- Select “Registration” located under WebAdvisor tab
- Select “Register for Sections”
- Select “Search and register for sections”
- Select term for which you would like to find a section (example: Summer 2011) using drop box beside “Term” and select a subject using the drop boxes located under the “Subjects” column. If you know the course number you can enter this number under the “Course Number” column beside the corresponding subject.
- Click Submit.
- A list of available course offerings will be displayed on the next page.
- Select box next to courses for which you would like to register and click "Submit"
- Select “Register” from the drop box beside the courses you wish to register for and click Submit.
- View Registration Results page for confirmation that you have successfully registered for your desired course.
Note: If you have problems, note the error messages in red that will let you know what you did wrong.
To Drop a Course:
- Log into go.spcc.edu
- Select Active Campus portal
- Select “Registration” located under WebAdvisor tab
- Select “Register and Drop Sections”
- Scroll to bottom of next page to find Current Registrations.
- Locate class you would like to drop.
- Select box next to course(s) you want to drop and click Submit
- View Registration Results page for confirmation that you have successfully dropped desired course.
Searching for Available Courses
- Select “Registration” located under WebAdvisor tab
- Click Search for Sections
- Select term for which you would like to find a section (example: Summer 2011) using drop box beside “Term” and select a subject using the drop boxes located under the “Subjects” column. If you know the course number you can enter this number under the “Course Number” column beside the corresponding subject.
- Click Submit.
- A list of course offerings will be displayed on the next page.
- OCH – Monroe Campus on Old Charlotte Highway
- Polk – Polkton Campus
- Web – completely online course to be available on Moodle the first day of classes
Express Registration
Note: This should only be used when student knows the specific subject, course number, and section number of the desired courses (example EDU 119 2W1).
- Use drop boxes under “Subject”, “Course Number”, “Section”, and “Term” to fill in information for course you wish to register for.
- Click Submit.
- Select “Register” from the drop box beside the courses you wish to register for and click Submit.
- View Registration Results page for confirmation that you have successfully registered for your desired course.
Note: If you have problems, note the error messages in red that will let you know what you did wrong.
