Compass Education

Compass Ed LogoCompass Education is a free academic-based program for adults with a focus on daily living and basic life skills. Skills are taught through real life, practical applications. Classes emphasize independent living skills, responsibility, and problem- solving for daily living.

Students must be 18 years of age and released from public school by graduation or withdrawal.

Q. Is there a charge for Compass Education classes?
A. Compass Education classes are free.

Q. Do Compass Education classes provide job training?
A. Our program is academic-based, related to daily living and life skills, and we teach many of the skills needed to successfully transition into employment.  We encourage and assist students in transitioning to continuing education and curriculum classes to enhance their employment goals.

Q. Do you provide transportation to and from classes?
A. No, SPCC does not provide transportation, please check to see if you are eligible for county transportation services.

Q. How long can students remain in the Compass Education program?
A. The program is available to students for as long as they choose to participate and show progress.

Q. What age range are your students?
A. Currently, our students range in age from 18 to 65+.
