New Student Registration
New Student Registration will begin May 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Late registration will be August 13 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and August 15 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Saturday, August 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Classes begin at 8 a.m. on August 18. Boston Trip Planned
The Domestic and International Travel Program at SPCC is planning a fall trip to Boston, MA. Plans are to fly out of North Carolina on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and return on the 19th after sightseeing in Boston, Salem, and Plymouth.
Academic Excellence Award Winners Honored
Jasmine Lloyd of Peachland and Wendy Church of Monroe represented South Piedmont Community College at the North Carolina Community College System 2008 Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony in Raleigh on April 16. Lloyd was one of three student speakers during the program.
SPCC Ranked 14th Nationally
According to ratings compiled by The Washington Monthly,
South Piedmont Community College is the 14
th best community college in the nation.
SPCC is Superior
South Piedmont Community College has been rated superior on an annual report card issued by the North Carolina Community College System that grades each of the state’s 58 community colleges on 12 performance measures.
Free Citizenship Classes at SPCC
