• Bloodborne Pathogens
  This is a state-mandated course requiring a minimum of two hours per year for all officers governed by the NC Criminal Justice Education Training and Standards Commission. This course is designed to familiarize the student with the various blood-borne pathogens, methods to reduce exposure and steps to follow in the event of exposure to be a blood-borne pathogen.
• Ethics
  This is a state-mandated course requiring a minimum of two hours per year for all officers governed by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education Training and Standards Commission. This course of instruction is designed to discuss and define ethics and to understand its importance within and throughout the law enforcement profession.
• Hazardous Materials
  This is a state-mandated course requiring a minimum of two hours per year for all officers governed by the NC Criminal Justice Education Training and Standards Commission. The course of instruction is designed to refresh the student's understanding of the dangers involving a hazardous materials incident and review use of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG).
• Juvenile Minority Sensitivity
  This is a state-mandated course, requiring a minimum of two hours per year of instruction designed to gain a better insight into the culture of Generation Y (1979 ? 1994) including mental health issues, drug use and family issues.
• Legal Update
  This is a state-mandated course, requiring a minimum of four hours per year of instruction designed to inform the individual student of recent changes in the law, through recent appeals cases and statutory updates.
• Methamphetamine
  This is a state-mandated course requiring four hours per year for all officers governed by the N.C. Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission. This will provide information on the rapid increase of these clandestine labs.
• Telecommunicators - ONLINE
  This is a state-mandated course requiring a minimum of two hours per year for all officers governed by the NC Criminal Justice Education Training and Standards Commission.
