Academic Advising at SPCC educates and empowers students to achieve academic and career success through intentional advising partnerships, meaningful learning opportunities, and purposeful self-discovery.
New students are served by the Advising Center. At the completion of nine (9) credit hours, students will be assigned to a full-time faculty advisor within their program of study. Current students may locate, and schedule and appointment, with their advisor by logging into Starfish, clicking on “My Success Network,” and scrolling to the bottom to see their faculty advisor.
New Student Orientation is designed for currently registered new and returning SPCC students for the 2017 fall school year. Orientation lasts roughly two hours and is offered on both the Old Charlotte Highway and L.L. Polk campuses. During orientation students will receive a tour of campus, one-on-one assistance with SPCC accounts set-up, and information about the services and activities offered at the college. Orientation is held between May and August.
