SPCC Career Cruiser schedule for 2010-2011
The schedule for the South Piedmont Community College Career Cruiser for the 2010-2011 school year has been set. Funded by a grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation, the cruiser is a mobile classroom with computer work stations that travels to various parts of Anson County and offers the opportunity for people to learn skills that can help them find a job, or a better job.
Following is the weekly schedule. It is subject to change without notice.
Mondays
• 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (first Monday of month only): Meadowview Assisted Living, 123 Anson High School Road, Wadesboro • 10 a.m. to noon (second through fifth Mondays): Horizon Group Home, 123 E. Martin St., Wadesboro.
• 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Church of God of Prophecy, 511 Sandy Ridge Church Road, Morven.
Tuesdays
• 9 a.m. to noon: Whit’s Convenience Store, 101 W. Wall St., Lilesville • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Peachland Fire Department, Passiak Street, Peachland
Wednesdays
• 10 a.m. to noon Horizon Group Home, 123 E. Martin St., Wadesboro • 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.: IGA supermarket, 805 Camden Road, Wadesboro
Thursdays
• 9 a.m. to noon: Various locations (call Toby Carpenter at 704-441-5401 or Eric Tillmon at 704-290-6292 for information). • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Ansonville Fire Department, 9145 Highway 52 North, Ansonville
Fridays
• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: BurgerKing parking lot, Highway 74 East, Wadesboro. |
