SPCC Foundation & Premiere Fibers Create New Scholarships

May 24, 2007

The South Piedmont Community College Foundation has established a new scholarship program that will provide awards of up to $500 per year to selected students enrolled in designated programs of study.

SPCC Foundation Scholarship recipients will be chosen with preference given to students enrolled in accounting, advertising and graphic design, auto body repair, HVAC, paralegal and welding programs. Full-time and part-time students may apply.

Premiere Fibers Inc. of Ansonville recently established two $500 scholarships to be awarded annually to full-time students who reside in Anson County and maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

To be considered for these new scholarships for the fall semester, students must apply prior to July 1. The scholarship application is available at www.spcc.edu. Click on Future Students, Financial, then Scholarships.
