SPCC Presents Annual Employee Awards

South Piedmont Community College recognized employees for outstanding performance during Fall Convocation held Aug. 14 at the Conference Center on SPCC’s Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe. Six employees received awards.

Old Charlotte Highway Campus Receptionist Barbara Firestone of Waxhaw was awarded the Staff of the Year Award. Jermaine Alston, a Wadesboro resident and computer repair instructor at Lanesboro Correctional Institution, received the Continuing Education Faculty of the Year Award. Developmental Reading Instructor Janet Rouse of Monroe was named Adjunct Faculty of the Year. Director of Financial Services Michelle Brock of Polkton was awarded Administrator of the Year. Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education Stuart Wasilowski of Monroe was recognized as Innovator of the Year. Adjunct Online Instructor Lisa Harrell of Greenville was awarded Outstanding Online Instructor of the Year.
