SPCC Foundation Recognizes Work of Frank Carpenter

The SPCC Foundation presented Frank Carpenter its first special Chairman’s Award at the Board of Trustees’ Oct. 10 meeting. A charter member of the foundation board, its first treasurer, a charter member of the Board of Trustees, and an active member of the Investment for Tomorrow major gifts campaign, Carpenter was presented with a black lacquer captain’s chair with the foundation logo laser-etched in gold.

Carpenter was instrumental in the legislative work that resulted in the creation of SPCC. Retired from State Utility Contractors, Carpenter has been a generous benefactor of SPCC. The library on the OCH Campus is named in memory of his parents, Sallye and Frank Carpenter.
