SPCC Hosts Camp Health Tech
South Piedmont Community College recognized participants in Camp Health Tech 2006 with a pinning ceremony and reception June 16 in the Conference Center on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus.
Camp Health Tech was a week-long day camp that gave high school students interested in medical careers the opportunity to explore careers. Students participated in an array of medical science workshops, toured healthcare facilities in Anson and Union counties, and talked with a variety of healthcare professionals.
Camp Health Tech participants were: Elizabeth Cohen of Morven, Jerica Dumas of Wadesboro, Natalie Gay of Waxhaw, Jennifer Gilmore of Wadesboro, Tina Haney of Wadesboro, Robertha Hansen of Indian Trail, Tiffany Harrington of Wadesboro, Deandra Ingram of Wadesboro, Crystal Jeter of Morven, Krystal Lamb of Monroe, Alysia McIntosh of Waxhaw, Victor Medley of Polkton, Ellie Messer of Monroe, Kayla Morton of Marshville, Leah Pack of Marshville, Ashley Pierce of Waxhaw, Tamara Pollock of Waxhaw, Angelina Reyes of Monroe, Sarah Sink of Waxhaw and Bethany Stack of Marshville.
Camp Health Tech was co-sponsored by the Charlotte Area Health Education Center HEROES program. Breakfast and lunch were provided through the support of Anson Community Hospital.
