Two named to President's List for summer session

WADESBORO – South Piedmont Community College honored several employees during its annual convocation, the kickoff of the new school year, on Monday, Aug. 8, at the Lockhart-Taylor Center.

Rita Adams, executive assistant to the president, received the Staff of the Year award. Facility & Property Services Director William Truett was named Administrator of the Year, Marketing & Communications Director Rosemary Britt was named Innovator of the Year, and Lockhart-Taylor Center Office Coordinator Kathy Moore earned the Outstanding Customer Service award.

Also, Computer Information Technology Instructor Kim Bateman was named Online Faculty of the Year and Industrial Maintenance Coordinator Russell Carpenter was named Continuing Education Faculty of the Year.

Allied Health Department Chair Alice Bradley and Continuing Education Professional Programs Director Geri Duncan won the Collaboration of the Year award.

Award winners were nominated by fellow employees and winners were selected by the school’s Senior Leadership Team.
