SPCC wins two Gold Medallion Awards

South Piedmont Community College’s Marketing and Communications Department won two first-place Gold awards in the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations District 2 Medallion Awards, presented Oct. 18 at the group’s annual conference in Atlanta.
A story written by Jim Muldrow about SPCC’s new EMS training mannequin won a Gold for Feature Article/General News Story/Op-Ed. The story was distributed in January. SPCC also won a Gold for General Writing.
In each category, SPCC was one of only three schools to win a Gold.
NCMPR District 2 includes 11 states in the Southeast, as well as Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas. The NCMPR District 2 Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges in District 2. It's the only regional competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at two-year colleges.
